At Drain Quote Check, we believe homeowners and businesses deserve clarity, fairness, and confidence when dealing with drainage contractors.
We are a family-run business with a combined 73 years of experience in the drainage industry. Over the years, we saw too many customers left confused by vague pricing, unclear scopes of work, and inconsistent standards across contractor quotations. The lack of transparency within the industry inspired us to create a better solution.
That’s why we built Drain Quote Check — an independent and entirely impartial quote assessment service designed to put consumers back in control.
For a simple one-off fee of £60, we independently review drainage contractor quotations on your behalf. We carefully assess:

Level of detail provided within the quotation
Proposed timelines and scope of works
Using our easy-to-understand traffic light scoring system, we grade each area to help you quickly identify whether a quote represents good value, requires clarification, or should be challenged before proceeding.

Mr E (Because He’s A Mystery)
FounderIn the interests of protecting our staff’ identity we cannot disclose exactly who our founder is. Carrying out a drain quote check often involves critiquing the work of others which leaves our team open to risk of abuse.
What we can tell you is that Mr E spent over a decade running some of the UK’s leading plumbing and drainage companies before deciding the industry needed more transparency and fairness.
This was how Drain Quote Check was born. Using his knowledge and expertise Mr E designed a system to provide clear and concise guidance on providing Drainage Quotations in the hope that commercial and domestic customers across hospitality, property management and home settings were able to make more informed decisions on who to spend their hard earned cash with.

Our EngineersOur quote check team have expertise across all areas of drainage from patch-lining and excavations to camera surveys, PMV’s and reactive repairs. When your quote is checked it is matched to the appropriate engineer skillset and reviewed through expert eye. All quote reviews are then submitted to Mr E for final approval before being sent back to you.
